In 1986, a group of dedicated educators in Peterborough, Ontario noticed something troubling: students were missing out on school trips, sports teams, and basic supplies — not because they didn't want to participate, but because their families couldn't afford it.
They started Teachers for Kids Foundation with a simple mission: ensure no child is left behind because of financial barriers. Forty years later, that mission has grown into a comprehensive support network helping over 1,200 students.
